We’re turning 10! Can you believe we opened our doors on November 5th, 2002?! Come celebrate with us on October 31st from 11:00-2:00 as we party for Halloween and our anniversary. At noon we’ll have a free baked potato bar lunch. All care providers and parents are invited to join us. After lunch we’ll have some ghoulish fun and games. While not required, costumes are wicked-fun and we’d love to see everyone dressed up.
SPECIAL OLYMPICS – EASTERN IDAHO BOWLING COMPETITION
Special Olympics bowling will be held on November 10th at Fatcats in Rexburg. The event will run from 8:30-4:00. If you haven’t already registered, you must do so by Oct 10th. We also need 10 bowling scores by then. Please remember that we don’t provide any transportation for this event. If you have any questions please call Corrie(528-2834).
We are selling Scentsy to raise funds for our Special Olympics team. We will be sending packets home with your clients in a few weeks. The fundraiser will go from Oct 31st to Nov 9th. If you do not want your client to sell, simply return the packet, no problem. But we would really love your support.
DON’T LOSE IT, LABEL IT!
Please make sure all your things are labeled with your name. Jackets, coats, hats, gloves, shoes, swimsuits, bags, lunch boxes, water bottles, CD’s and players, MP3’s, cell phones, etc… All these things are easy to lose or confuse with another’s. Help us help you get everything home by putting your name on them. Also, please limit baggage to one personal bag and one for activities if needed.
BEAT THE FLU’S BLUES
We’re having a flu shot clinic on Wednesday, October 17th from 1:30-4:00. The cost is $20 or they will bill Medicaid, Medicare or your other eligible insurance. Flu mist and tetanus shots are also available. Everyone getting immunized must sign a consent form and bring a copy of their insurance card. (No client will be given a shot without the proper forms completed.) Anyone is welcome to come get a shot. Forms can be completed during the clinic or beforehand. Let us know if you need a form.
The adult-day girls’ club wants to make hairstyling and nails a reoccurring activity each Friday afternoon. If you want to participate, you must bring your own comb/brush and hair ties and accessories. You can bring your favorite shade of nail polish as well.
LOVE & LOGIC
There’s still time to sign up for the six week Parenting with Love and Logic class which starts on Wed. October 3rd. The cost is $35 per individual or $40 per couple. Classes are held at The Adventure Center (755 Lincoln Dr.) at 7:00pm.
FESTIVAL OF TREES
It’s not beginning to look much like Christmas yet, but it’s going to sound a lot like it starting next week. The festival of trees is in November and we are starting our choir practices for it next week.
