The Adventure Center began in 2002, solely as an adult day center and later grew into what is now The Adventure Center DDA and the Children’s Adventure Center DDA. Both programs are places of adventure, friendship, and growth. Our friends with developmental disabilities find a safe spot to learn life skills, to laugh, to serve, and to become their best selves! It began with the vision of its founders, Madeline Jennings and Kathi Hirschi. They saw a need in our community for something different- something SPECIAL. Because of the amazing staff and the wonderful friends, we serve, it has definitely become exactly that- a truly special place,  serving truly special people!
