Developmental Therapy Tech
Developmental therapy techs are responsible for following a detailed schedule in working with individuals with intellectual disabilities. We serve these needs in the community, and in our facility. We provide developmental therapy, as well as a fun, engaging adult day health program. It’s a fast-paced job, but a very friendly atmosphere. We have a very detailed training protocol, and no experience is necessary. Our goal is to help each staff member feel as welcome as our participants. Passing a background check is required, and we will provide CPR/First aid training. Having an insured vehicle, and valid drivers license is not a requirement, but is a plus. Consider joining a team where you will leave each day feeling appreciated, respected, and making a difference in the lives of people you serve
Developmental specialists:
Our Developmental specialists are an integral part of The Adventure Center’s team. Each participant is assigned their own Developmental specialist or “DS” as we call them. They are responsible for developing, implementing each developmental therapy plan. They train our developmental therapy techs in the proper way to run the individual goals. Their primary responsibility is for the participant. They meet with the Target service coordinators and care providers regularly. Being organized is very important in order to follow the Department of Health and Welfare’s IDAPA rules
Developmental Specialist assistants
Our Developmental Assistants are vital for the smooth operation of the Adventure Center to flow properly. In addition to
assisting the developmental specialists with their client caseloads, they each have their own training responsibilities, and extra assigned tasks to help meet the individual needs of our participants.
